President’s Breakfast Address, Fall 2009

Dr. Maravene Loeschke spoke to faculty and staff during her annual President’s Breakfast on August 27th. The gathering was part of University Days on campus and to help usher in, the Fall ‘09 Semester.

Dr. Loeschke touched on a variety of topics that she referred to as “the best of times.”

The best of times at MU include campus beautification, fund raising efforts, the size of the freshman class, and community relations.

In part 2, Dennis Miller continues his discussion with the director of the Mansfieldians, Dr. Sheryl Monkelien. The Mansfieldians are 12 singers from the Concert Choir, who specialize in vocal jazz, madrigals and chamber music. Dr. Monkelien talks of the emotion in music, the hectic schedule of the World Choir Games in Graz Austria and the group’s self discipline. Performances from the competition are included.
